  • The vocals on this track are by Crystal Waters, known for her 1991 hit "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)." She recorded them for Alex Gaudino years earlier, when he used them on various mixes of a 2003 release called "Destination Unknown." In 2007, he put those same vocals to the song "Calabria," a 2003 track with a big saxophone hook by the Danish DJ Rune. The resulting mash-up, "Destination Calabria," became an international hit, reaching #3 in Australia, #8 on the American Dance chart, and landing in the Top 10 in many European countries, including France, Belgium, Ireland and Poland.
  • Crystal Waters is often approached by producers to add topline melody and lyrics to tracks along with her vocals, but Gaudino only needed her voice. The lyrics are about leaving home with no clear plan, filled with the promise of the unknown. Waters tried singing it with a lot of emotion, but Gaudino wanted it flat. "I had to go back and sing it very monotone, the way it is, and that was the one that worked," she told Songfacts.
  • The video, directed by Rani Creevy, shows a marching band of eight young ladies in very short skirts playing their instruments ("Addicted To Love" style) over a white background. In some of the shots, the girls are digitally replicated to create a bigger band. All of them are wearing bright red lipstick, which posed a problem, as it was rubbing off on their instruments.

The clip proved very popular, quickly getting over 10 million views on YouTube.
