Songfacts®:

  • This borrows from Pigbag's 1982 UK #3 hit "Papa's Got a Brand New Pigbag," which was revived in 1995 by the Perfecto Allstarz this time reaching #6 in the UK. Alex Gaudino explained to I Like Music: "We were looking for an idea, so we could get the same vibe as 'Destination Calabria.' When you are looking for a new idea you need to find inspiration. We found that in the sample we used, which was the horns from Pig Bag's hit, 'Papa's Got A Brand New Pig Bag.'"
  • This features vocalist Shena Winchester who has sung on numerous previous club tracks including UK Top 20 hits "Dare Me (Stupidisco)" by Junior Jack, "Wilderness" by Jurgen Vries and "There's Nothing I Won't Do" by JX. The latter was a #4 hit for JX in the summer of 1996. However like a number of other 1990s club records, such as "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" by C and C Music Factory, a more photogenic person was used instead to front the group's promotional appearances. In the instance of "There's Nothing I Won't Do," the actress Karlina Grace was hired, leading to her being erroneously credited as the singer in many chart listings.
