Born in Carlsbad, California, Alex Warren lost his father to cancer when he was 9 years old. His mother struggled with alcoholism and kicked him out when he turned 18. Now he channels these painful experiences into his music.

"I try to take control in a way," Warren told Billboard. "For me, something really beautiful is taking something so sad and dark, and what most would view as something that ruined their life, and turn it into something that can help people."
Warren started posting skateboarding videos on Instagram in his early teens. These were his first forays into social media.

Alex Warren married Instagrammer Kouvr Annon on June 22, 2024, in an outdoor ceremony at Ethereal Gardens in Escondido, California. The couple, who are both social media stars and former members of the Hype House, had been dating since 2018 and got engaged on New Year's Eve in 2022. Their first dance was to David Kushner's song "Daylight."
Alex Warren identifies as a Christian and has credited his Catholic upbringing as a significant influence on his life and music. Warren has said that moments of healing and success in his career are "part of God's plan for him," and his experiences of loss and trauma have shaped his music and ability to connect with others.
