• Alexisonfire vocalist George Pettit is also known as a TV personality. He appeared as a juror in two episodes of the Canadian show Video On Trial on Muchmusic. He also hosted a show called Strange Notes on BiteTV where he interviews artists that he finds interesting.
• Alexisonfire vocalist George Pettit loves to collaborate with other Canadian bands. He worked with Cancer Bats on the track "Pneumonia Hawk" and also appeared in the video for the song. Other bands Pettit has worked with include Attack in Black, Fucked Up, Jude the Obscure, and Monster Truck.
• After Alexisonfire broke up in 2011, drummer Jordan "Ratbeard" Hastings started a new band called Hunter. The band also included Erik Hughes and Kenny Bridges from the Canadian band Moneen. Hunter quickly signed with Alexisonfire's old label Dine Alone Records, but was forced to change their name to Cunter after being threatened with a lawsuit over the "Hunter' moniker.
• In 2005, Alexisonfire toured Scotland with Johnny Truant and The Blood Roses. Each member of all three bands decided to get the word "Yeti" tattooed somewhere on their bodies. In a later interview, vocalist George Pettit and guitarist Dallas Green explained that the inspiration for the tattoos came from the 1988 Gary Oldman movie The Firm.
• In 2005, drummer Jesse Ingelevics decided to leave Alexisonfire. The remaining band members explained that they had "grown apart" from Ingelevics, who wanted to stay off the road in order to spend more time with his family and fiancé.
• In 2008, Alexisonfire guitarist Wade MacNeil hinted that the band would be breaking up on a radio show. MacNeil said that part of the reason was because singer/guitarist Dallas Green had found success with his City and Colour side project. MacNeil explained that Green had already moved from Ontario to Los Angeles and that the two "didn't really talk" anymore.
• On February 16, 2010, Alexisonfire began playing a free all-ages show at the 2010 Winter Olympics festivities in the Vancouver district of Yaletown. However, the band was forced to cancel the gig ten seconds into the first song when attendees rushed the stage and audience members were pressed against the metal barricades that separated the band from the crowd. Several people were trampled and 19 people suffered injuries including broken bones.
• Although they had broken up, Alexisonfire announced on their Facebook page in 2012 that they would be re-releasing their Math Sheets Demos EP on vinyl for Record Store Day 2012. This is one of the first known recordings of the band, named so because the original CD was sold to fans wrapped in sheets of drummer Jesse Ingelevics' math homework.
• Having announced their decision to split in 2011, Alexisonfire reunited for a series of live dates in the summer of 2015. After their reunion gigs had come to an end, they confirmed that they would continue as a band.
