  • Mitchell originally wanted to be a folk guitarist; he cites Edie Brickell and Tracy Chapman as favorites.
  • Zamora is the only band member to have graduated high school.
  • The band's name comes from a daydream by Corso, imagining that our whole world is simply a science project for some aliens.
  • Their first record was titled Greatest Hits.
  • The band is good friends with Papa Roach. They are signed to Papa Roach's label, New Noize. The two bands even share A&R men.
  • Mitchell's father's guitar playing inspired him. His father played to living rooms. The son plays to amphitheaters.

  • On May 22, 2002, their tour bus crashed while they were in Spain. The driver was killed, and the band suffered various injuries, the most serious of which was a broken vertebra by Mitchell. They had to cancel the rest of the tour.
