F--k You

Songfacts®:

  • Although the answer song to Eamon's "I Don't Want You Back (F--k It!)" followed hard on its heels, this Anna David composition is far superior to the not very subtle "(F.U.R.B.)". It's difficult to believe not only that this girl is white but that English is not her first language.

"F--k You" was actually record as "Fick Dich" in German and as "F--k Dig" in her native Denmark where it held the number one spot for a staggering twelve weeks, which must have made Mary Whitehouse (that's half of Mary Long to you) turn in her grave.
  • Probably for commercial reasons, a censored version was also released. With or without this self-censorship, Miss David's musical V sign is distinctly superior to the Lily Allen song of the same name, which is in any case a political song (of sorts) rather than a personal one. >>>
