Songfacts®:

  • This song is about The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in Japan, which caused a series of ongoing equipment failures, reactor meltdowns, and releases of radioactive materials following the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011. Guitarist Tom Searle told HMV.com: "Two reactors have gone down, there's one remaining, if that goes then it'll be complete disaster for Japan. It's a tragedy that doesn't seem to have made it anywhere near the media."
  • Vocalist Sam Carter commented: "We worked on it for a long time, we knew we had to get it really right or not do it at all. We worked particularly hard on this one."
