Songfacts®:

  • This was written in 1982 by brothers (and group members) Jonathan, David, and Wayne Lewis. The brothers brought this to a 1982 album session, but it didn't get included because the producer didn't think it would fit in with their other songs. It ended up being their biggest hit.
  • After Atlantic Starr changed lead vocalists (From Sharon Bryant to Barbara Weathers), "Always" was taken off the shelf to be sung as a duet between Weathers and David Lewis. >>>

  • Victor from Hartsdale, NyBelieve it or not, 2 of the Lewis brothers work at my High School (Jonathan and I forgot the other one's name sorry). I know them both pretty well.
