Songfacts®:

  • In 2012 Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline reformed with an altered lineup, after a five year hiatus. Original bassist Will McGinniss continues as a member of the re-formed band while co-founder Mark Stuart, although stepping down as lead vocalist due to ill health, is very much a part of band decisions and contributes to the songwriting. Taking over lead vocals is Kevin Max, formerly of DC Talk, while CCM mainstays Dave Ghazarian (Superchick) is on guitar, Jared Byers (Bleach) is the band's drummer, and singer-songwriter Jason Walker plays keys. This was the first single released by the new lineup.
  • The song was inspired by the band's passion for orphan care and their Hands & Feet Project. (Like many of the children at Hands & Feet Project, Kevin Max was orphaned as a small child). Stuart said regarding the single: "It's just an incredible song about this idea of when we love the least of these, God wraps these little orphans in his majesty and they can become kings and queens. It gives you that idea that these are God's favorites, these little kids that have been forgotten. There's going to be a special place in heaven one day because of what they've been through here. It's just a triumphant, majestic song that just connects so deeply with Hands & Feet and the message of Audio A right now."
  • The video was shot in Haiti, tying together the band's music and charity work. "This is really the anthem for the Hands and Feet project," Max told Billboard magazine. "We wanted to let people know that we are doing this for more than just getting back out there and rebooting the brand, we're about raising awareness for the non-profit."
