  • BabyMonster is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment, the same company that gave us BlackPink. The group debuted their first single, "Batter Up," on November 27, 2023.
  • The selection process for BabyMonster was documented in a reality show called Last Evaluation, which aired in 2023. The show allowed the public to objectively evaluate prospective members in advance. Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, Rami, and Pharita were selected by the label, while Rora and Asa joined the final lineup as the "fans' choice."
  • Ruka, whose real name is Kawai Ruk, is a Japanese member born on March 20, 2002. She debuted in the Japanese girl group Shibu3 before becoming the longest-trained member of BabyMonster. Ruka is the group's oldest member.
  • Pharita, real name Pharita Chaikong, is a Thai member born on August 26, 2005. Before joining BabyMonster, she took part in modeling contests and auditioned for survival reality programs. Pharita impressed during her YG Entertainment audition in July 2020, dancing to Blackpink's "How You Like That" and becoming the sixth member selected from 1,226 applicants. Fluent in both Thai and English, she attended an international school in Thailand.
  • Asa, whose real name is Enami Asa, is a Japanese member born on April 17, 2006. She first auditioned for YG Entertainment aged 12, specializing in hip-hop dance. Asa is known for her ability to sing falsetto while radiating a hip-hop vibe.
  • Ahyeon, real name Jung Ahyeon, is a South Korean member born on April 11, 2007. Passionate about dancing since the age of five, she is recognized as an "all-rounder" by YG, excelling in rapping, singing, and dancing. Ahyeon also possesses a talent for picking up foreign languages.
  • Rami, whose real name is Shin Haram, is a South Korean member born on October 17, 2007. She began her modeling career aged two, appearing in toy and clothing commercials. Joining YG in 2017, Rami is noted for her wide vocal range.
  • Rora, real name Lee Dain, is a South Korean member born on August 14, 2008. Before her audition in May 2018, she was part of a local kids' idol group called U.sso Girl, using the stage name U.ha alongside Hyein of NewJeans. YG Entertainment's chairman, Yang, bestowed upon her the stage name Rora, symbolizing an artist who would "shine bright like an aurora."
  • Chiquita, whose real name is Riracha Phondechaphiphat, is a Thai member born on February 17, 2009. As the maknae, or youngest member, she joined the BabyMonster project last. Despite some criticism about her age (she was 14 when BabyMonster made their debut), YG Entertainment defended the decision, emphasizing Chiquita's talent and readiness to perform.
