Songfacts®:

  • This was the first song from In A World Like This to be performed on TV when The Backstreet Boys played it live on May 15, 2013 on ABC's Good Morning America for fans in Times Square.
  • The song was co-written by Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter with Mika Guillory and Morgan Taylor Reid. The same trio also penned the 2012 holiday number "It's Christmas Time Again" along with Carter's bandmate Howie Dorough.
  • The song is about getting your heart broken. Howie admitted to Digital Spy that there were concerns that the title sounded a bit rude. "We did think about changing it," he said. "You can look at it the wrong way, but once you hear the song, it's actually poetic. You never know, it may end up giving the song more attention!"
