Songfacts®:

  • "La Dificil" translates into English as "hard to get" or "difficult." Here, Bad Bunny raps about a free-spirited woman he is attracted to but finds frustrating. The chorus translates as:

She pretends to be hard to get, but she goes out
Hanging out with her friend, always high
Asking that I come to her
That I give myself into her
Asking that I come to her
    Although sometimes she denies me

It seems this feisty lady doesn't want to be tied down. Instead, she is toying with the Latin trap superstar.
  • Released on February 29, 2020 as the third single from YHLQMDLG, the song debuted at #33 on the Hot 100, equaling the highest arrival ever on the chart for an all-Spanish-language song by an act with no accompanying artists. That record was already held by Bad Bunny with the album's first single, "Vete."
  • Bad Bunny teamed with longtime engineer La Paciencia and production duo Subelo NEO, Lenex and Mora for the song's production. "They are such humble people who know how to work as a team," he told Apple Music of Subelo NEO. "They understand the good vibes that I've built my fame on, because we shared them at the beginning of my career. So for me it's a pleasure to work with them. I like what they do, and the warmth of their sound."
