  • Danielle Bregoli became an internet star after her enraged performance on the September 16, 2016 episode of Dr. Phil. Irritated at the laughter that the audience exhibited at her expense, the 13-year-old Florida native responded by saying, "Catch me outside how about that." Her pronunciation of the phrase, which made it sound like "Cash Me Ousside Howbow Dah," turned into a meme on social media and Bregoli became known as the "Cash Me Ousside Girl." The teen subsequently capitalized on her internet fame by launching a music career under the stage name Bhad Bhabie.
  • This song was recorded by Bregoli when she was in the studio for just the second time ever. The track was produced by XXXTentacion collaborator Ronny J, who is a member of Denzel Curry's Miami-based hip hop collective C9. She recalled to The Fader:

"They were like 'We have this beat and we have this hook.' All it said was 'Hi bich, hi bich, hi bich,' and then the whole 'sniff it, roll it' thing wasn't even there, it was like some other wack s--t. I was like, 'No, we need to change that.'

It killed me when I really found that some people don't write their hooks, and verses too. I was like, 'So they don't really mean that?' I had someone in there that was coaching me through certain things, because like I said it was the second time I was in the studio. So he's like, 'We can change this' and then it became the 'Hi Bich' that we know it to be today."
