  • This autobiographical composition sees Broonzy being warned by the women in his life and his doctor to stop drinking. He recorded it at Chicago between July 1935 and April 1936 with himself on guitar, and Black Bob on piano.

    Although it took another two decades, good liquor probably did contribute to his death. A smoker as well as a drinker, he died from cancer of the throat on August 15, 1958. >>>
