  • According to their website, Big Data is a New York electronic music project fronted by Alan Wilkis that was "formed out of a general distrust for technology." This song about the increasingly dangerous advances in the intelligence of man-made machines fits right into their ball park. Speaking with Billboard, Wilkis said that "Evolution Once Again" is about "the moment when artificial intelligence exponentially surpasses human intelligence."

"The character singing the song is the forlorn computer scientist who feels abandoned by the AI he has created, which has now left him (and all of humanity) far behind," he added.
