Songfacts®:

  • In this song, Black Stone Cherry lead singer Chris Robertson has a girl problem: She has very expensive tastes, and she drinks all his bourbon. Sure, she lights a fire in his bed, but she's just too darn expensive. His conclusion: It's cheaper to drink alone.
  • The group wrote this song with help from the Nashville writer Brandon Kinney. They planned to pitch it to a country artist, but after they made the demo, they decided to keep it for themselves.
  • In the video, the group members do some speed dating... with themselves. This required them to dress up like their female counterparts, which they gamely did (with the aid of alcohol). It was shot at The Spillway Bar in Bowling Green, Kentucky and directed by Blake Judd. Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger of Halestorm make appearances.
