  • Matthew Musto is an American rapper and record producer who records under the name of Blackbear. His songwriting credits include Justin Bieber's 2012 hit single "Boyfriend" and a couple of tracks from G-Eazy's These Things Happen album. This song is his first Hot 100 hit as a recording artist.
  • This vindictive kiss-off finds Blackbear channeling his frustration with his conceited and self-centered girlfriend. When asked by Billboard magazine if any female fans might be put off by such direct broadsides, the rapper explained, "It's kind of like watching Mean Girls. A lot of drama in LA, a lot of talking, a lot of telephone. That's Hollywood."
  • The chorus is a play on the "Solfège" harmonic scale commonly used in music education to teach pitch. However it is a complete contrast with the innocent lyrical message famously sung by Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music.

Do, re, mi, fa, so f---in' done with you, girl
So f---in' done with all the games you play.

Solmization (or Solfège) is a system of notation whereby the musical notes of the diatonic scale are designated by syllables and manual signs. The system was introduced by Italian music theorist Guido d'Arezzo in the 11th century. His six-note ascending scale went as follows: ut, re, mi, fa, sol, la. "Ut" was changed in the 1600s in Italy to the open syllable Do, at the suggestion of the musicologue Giovanni Battista Doni, and Si was added to complete the diatonic scale.
  • Blackbear channels his frustration with the failing relationship during this song. "I just remember in that relationship waking up and really just feeling like nothing was good enough," the rapper expressed to Genius. "Even though I would do anything for that person."
  • Do, re, mi, fa, so f---in' done with you, girl

"I'm just a witty kind of guy," said Blackbear. "I'm really obsessed with one-liners and if you go to my Twitter page, now you won't find many pictures or retweets or anything. It's usually just one sentence. I'm obsessed with saying everything in one line. It's what I do it for. I'm obsessed with it."

  • Trixi from MoI heard the song and i really liked it until i watched the video and now i will not listen to anything by him .. there is obviously more to this .. i just can't believe that this video is even being played or that it was made in the first place .. there is so much wrong with this video and if you all do not see it then there is something wrong with you ..
And I 100% agree with the other person
SHAME on those parents for letting their children participate in this .. basically they are exploiting their kids for a few xtra dollars ..
I dunno about all of you but I would rather sell drugs or exploit myself than let my kids do it ..
I mean hello did you all forget about the whole ordeal with nickelodeon?? Is like the save exact thing only difference is this video is worse than the subtle innuendos on nickelodeon.. Keep kids innocent
  • Shannonmichele from Anchorage, AlaskaPersonally I think the video is extremely perverted, it makes absolutely no sense! The kids playing with the puppets making them hump, the little girl laying on the floor watching the two screw around and little girls sitting on a grown man's lap....Personally I think they are perverts and shame on the parents for allowing their children to participate in that video!! Please Explain the thinking behind the video.
  • Cherokee from Pai love this song
  • Joseph from GeorgiaI think blackberry has contributed to a lot of this music
