Songfacts®:

  • This was released as a buzz single from Bonnie McKee's major label debut album. The track was helmed by frequent McKee collaborator Oliver Goldstein, Los Angeles DJ and producer Corey Enemy, and German EDM beatmeister Alex Ridha, who uses the moniker of Boys Noize.
  • McKee explained the track's meaning to Artist Direct: "The song is about addiction so it's very dark. It's about coming through it and waking up. It's about sleepwalking through life, not feeling anything, and not being present."
  • The storyline for the zombie-themed video was created by McKee in collaboration with Johnny Newman. It stars American actress Kelsey Chow, who is best known for her role as Mikayla in the Disney XD sitcom Pair of Kings and recurring part as Gigi Silveri on the drama One Tree Hill.
