  • "WY@" is a sultry, simmering exploration of a tumultuous relationship, one that's not entirely devoid of pleasure. For Brent Faiyaz, the problem isn't leaving the relationship, it's the allure of fleeting perks like sexual satisfaction and the partner's unwavering availability. These elements fuel the short-lived thrill of their connection.
  • Faiyaz starts things off with a chorus that forces him to confront himself in the mirror. He's been caught up in some regrettable actions, things he really shouldn't have done for real. It's why he keeps telling her to come over. But this time, he swears he'll be done.

Then the first verse kicks in. Faiyaz knows she's trouble, yet her allure is irresistible. Every time he tries to cut ties, she pulls him right back in.

In the second verse, Faiyaz paints himself as utterly defenseless against her wicked charms. He can feel those walls closing in, caught in her grasp like a trap. He attempts to flee, but he never makes it far.

But then he has a revelation and accepts some blame for his actions. He points fingers at himself, trying to shoulder accountability. Yet, she seems to devour his very ability to resist. She's both his downfall and his cure. It's clear he's been crossing some serious lines.
  • Following the first chorus, a woman enters speaking passionately in Spanish. She is eagerly waiting for Faiyaz with open arms and a welcoming heart. Her words echo a longing akin to saying, "I want you to relish me, just like your favorite ice cream." It becomes clear why Faiyaz is finding it tough to bring this relationship to an end.
  • "WY@" is internet parlance for "where you at?" The phrase is used in the song to show how Faiyaz wonders whether the woman has feelings for him or is just using him for sex.
  • Faiyaz collaborated with producers Anthoine Walters, Bailey Goldberg, David Patino, Jonathan Wells, and Othello Houston, to create the track. Their production slides along with an alluring blend of guilt and sensuality.

Toronto producer Anthoine "SYN" Walters has also worked with Drake ("Pipe Down") and Post Malone ("Wow").
