Songfacts®:

  • Lyrically, this Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard produced breakup track references past Britney hits such as the Martin penned "…Baby One More Time," ("Hit me one more time it's amazing / You're the only one who ever drove me crazy.") As Britney broke through on the pop scene with "Baby" back in the late 1990s we wonder if the Swedish songwriter simply forgot that those lines had been used before.
  • The Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard trio also produced Femme Fatale's first two singles, "Hold it Against Me"and "Till the World Ends." Montreal native Billboard (born Mathieu Jomphe) made his Hot 100 debut with the former song.
