Songfacts®:

  • Much of Bullet For My Valentine's Gravity album is lyrically downbeat, arising from singer Matt Tuck's 2016 divorce and the depression that followed. However this song is much more positive as he sings about about seizing the day and catching the moment. He explained to Louder Sound:

"There's a lot of stuff going on on this record, which was stuff about me, and stuff that kind of felt quite negative, even though it wasn't trying to be. There was just more songs about where I'm at and stuff. So I wanted to do a positive vibes song about not being dead yet, and we've achieved amazing things, and there's still a lot of life left in us yet, in our personal lives and in the band. Creative juices, you know. And so the song is about taking life by the paws and not giving up."
  • The song's music video was directed by Takahito Matsuno of Japanese filmmakers Maxilla Inc. It finds Bullet for My Valentine rocking out in colorful fog and was shot in Japan after the band's Summersonic 2018 performances.
