Songfacts®:

  • This song about deception and dishonesty in a relationship turned sour is the first single from the Welsh metal band Bullet For My Valentine's third studio album, Fever. The single was set to come out on March 9, 2010, but unexpectedly was released early as a digital single on iTunes on March 2, 2010, along with the track "Begging for Mercy."
  • American producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Good Charlotte) produced this song, along with the rest of the album. Frontman Matt Tuck told UK magazine Rock Sound: "He totally beat me up to get the best songwriting out of me. We needed someone to take us to another level even though we've had such huge success off our own backs.
We feel confident to go it alone, but working with someone different is always a gamble. For the first four months, if felt like we'd f--ked up, like we should have done everything on our own, but as time progressed, we could see what Don was doing and why he was doing it. We'll always be trying to show people what we're capable of."
