Songfacts®:

  • Working on the song brought out a lot of emotions for the Cash Cash trio of Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alexander Makhlouf and Samuel Frisch. "Surrendering is usually seen as something negative or a sign of defeat, but this song shows a different side of things," Makhlouf told Billboard magazine. "Sometimes it's the fight that kills you. Sometimes you don't even know what you're fighting for. Sometimes surrendering can set you free!"
  • The single was promoted by a social network campaign, whereby Cash Cash encouraged their fans to change their Twitter profile pictures to white flags, mirroring it's cover art.
