Songfacts®:

  • This track took time to get right. Caroline Polachek told Artist Direct that she and her Chairlift partner Patrick Wimberly built the production "six times because we were so unable to be satisfied with it in the studio. Finally the sixth complete production was the one that made the record."
  • Polachek sings the outro in a high register. She told Genius: "I feel like my voice is sort of shaped like an hourglass. I have the easiest time at the bottom and on the top. It's the middle where it's hardest for me. So songs like Ch-Ching where I'm sort of belting in the middle, that is so much harder for me than the high stuff like on this last chorus."
