Songfacts®:

  • Co-written by the husband-and-wife team of Sam and Annie Tate, with Rivers Rutherford, this was the song that broke through for Chely Wright. Running to around 3 minutes 49 seconds, it is a fairly middle-of-the-road love ballad with a country feel, which is hardly surprising considering the Nashville influence of all three of its writers.

A thoughtful rather than a dynamic song; those seeking a bit more oomph will probably prefer the track bearing the same name which was recorded by Rihanna a decade later. >>
