Songfacts®:

  • This anthemic song is a track from Chvrches second album Every Open Eye. When HMV.com asked the band's Iain Cook if they leave the lyrics all up to their vocalist Lauren Mayberry, he replied: "We don't put the lyrics on until the song is nearly and a melody is in place. She takes the demos away and gets ideas down, then when it comes to put it all together we sit down and refine it line by line and make it all fit together. I guess that's unusual, I know bands who are lyric-driven, but that's not how we work."
  • Lauren Mayberry told NME that the keyboard part in the song reminded her of "the bit in The Goonies where they're cycling down the hill."
