Songfacts®:

  • Coi Leray is a New Jersey-born and Los Angeles-based rapper and singer who first made waves in 2017 with the singles "G.A.N" and "Pac Girl." This melodic rap track became her first Billboard Hot 100 hit after it went viral on Tik Tok.
  • Leray wrote the song alongside its producer, Maaly Raw, who is known for his work with Lil Uzi Vert. It finds her rap-singing about various issues in her life, most noteworthy her relationship with her dad. Leray's father is the hip-hop executive, rapper, The Source publisher, and reality star Benzino, and here she criticizes his parenting. Because of their falling out, she feels she can't trust anybody and isn't in the mood to party.

During the chorus, Leray talks about elevating her career and surrounding herself with people who will improve her life.
  • Released on January 22, 2021, the song quickly traction from the Tik Tok No More Parties Challenge where users dance to part of the track.
  • Coi Leray enlisted Lil Durk for the remix, which she dropped on February 19, 2021. The reworking stays close to the original, except for an additional verse from the Chicago rapper and an extra chorus. The new version sent the song into the Top 40 for the first time.
