Songfacts®:

  • This Brett Eldredge and Scooter Carusoe penned song is about remembering your first love, something Nail says isn't always a bad thing. "Your first love is such a huge part of your life and sets the tone for relationships in the future and how you go about them and your life in general," he told Radio.com. "I don't think it's a negative thing or a bad thing to reflect back on those times and think fondly of them."
  • The song features harmonies from Nail's past tour mates Little Big Town. "I knew that there was something missing from our version," said Nail on The Boot website. "I just felt like this could be a Little Big Town song, and it very much became that. I tell people all the time, 'It's a Little Big Town song that I just happen to sing on.' Which is the neatest thing in the world, because now I feel like I've sang on a Little Big Town record."
