Songfacts®:

  • Despite the success of her debut album, former X Factor finalist Diana Vickers parted company with her label, RCA Records, in June 2011. The reason given was that she wanted to pursue a more indie-rock, less-commercial direction for her follow-up record. This is one of the first fruits from her recording sessions, which Vickers made available for free on her website as an early Christmas present for her fans.
  • The song was produced by the Norwegian pop band Donkeyboy, who also did the original of Joe McElderry's hit single, "Ambitions."
