  • This Riser cut reflects Bentley's anguish at having to leave his family behind after the birth of his son Knox in October 2013. "It's a song for everyone," he told Billboard magazine. "When you do country music right, hopefully it's a deeply personal song that you wrote from experience that anyone can relate to. That song is based on me and my love of music, my family, and being torn away from them. But, let's be honest. I'm a traveling salesman. Everyone out there who does what I do, they might get caught up thinking they are something other than that, but that's what we're doing, selling music."
  • The song almost didn't make it onto Riser as Bentley thought it was too personal. The singer told Radio.com that it wasn't until he sent the song to his band that he was convinced to record it. "Almost all of them wrote back and said, 'That's the best song of the whole deal. That song is so personal and you have to put it on the record,'" he said.
