Songfacts®:

  • Dierks Bentley unveiled this song on March 12, 2016, while performing at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The acoustic performance was in support of the Country Music Hall of Fame's new exhibit, Dierks Bentley: Every Mile a Memory.
  • The drum heavy country-rock anthem celebrates freedom in all its forms. The third verse was inspired by something U2's Bono once said to Bentley. The country star explained to Radio.com: "He said that when people in other countries see the American flag, they don't just see a geographical location, they see an idea of freedom. And they want a little piece of that idea."
