Songfacts®:

  • This song is written from the perspective of a group of people who are on a "mission" to overcome adversity and prejudice: "Let it be known, to all your misbelievin', what you've been seein', that we will not stand, will not be mistaken, we will go there leave this weakness."
  • Dispatch vocalist and guitarist, Chad Urmston, told us "Mission" is one of his favorite Dispatch songs of all time: "So much fun to play - pretty 'Dispatchy' through and through."
  • This initially featured on Dispatch's second album, Bang Bang, in 1998. The band recorded a new, 'crisper' version for their follow-up album, Four-Day Trials, in 1999.
