Songfacts®:

  • Like "Truthfully," this finds Joe Jonas in a vulnerable place as he describes real stuff that was going on in his life.

Baby, we were good, we were almost perfect
I'd say it's your fault but you don't deserve it
You won't get back what we had with no one
Baby, we were good, it was almost worth it
    We were almost

Jonas told Billboard magazine: "When I wrote 'Almost' and 'Truthfully,' I was really going through those feelings.

He added: "With 'Almost,' it was a similar thing where you were pretty close to almost having something really great, and it just didn't really work out."
