Songfacts®:

  • This might be considered a tribute song or a novelty song, whichever it is dire at best.

Comedy actress Dora Bryan was the owner of a very distinctive voice, but it fails here big time. The song itself is credited to Monty Norman, who of course wrote the guitar-based "The James Bond Theme," which can be heard here in no small measure.
  • "Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Seven" was released on the Fontana label backed by "Because He Loves Me" in 1964; the previous year she had released "All I Want For Christmas Is A Beatle" at the height of Beatlemania; that song is alluded to here en passant. >>>
