Songfacts®:

  • "Body Moving" is a collaboration between English DJ, music producer and singer Eliza Rose and Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. Rose sings about the exhilarating feeling of letting go and embracing the music under the cover of darkness. The dimming of the lights creates an intimate and freeing atmosphere while the rhythmic sounds of the music drive the dancers' movements and create a shared sense of euphoria.
  • Calvin Harris' EDM production incorporates punchy brass elements and energetic percussion that enhances Rose's empowering message of letting loose and embracing the rhythm of the music.
  • In 2022, the "B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All)" hitmaker slid into Harris' DMs to propose a collaborative studio session, and he readily agreed, sowing the seeds for the shimmering house tune.

"Body Moving" came together after Rose performed at Harris' Ushuaïa show in Ibiza on June 30, 2023.

"My goal was to create a track that captures the essence of summer while also igniting the dance floors," said Rose. "The vibe with Calvin has been fabulous."
  • Rose and Harris co-wrote the song with Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez. Harris previously worked with Reyez for Sam Smith's 2023 single "I'm Not Here To Make Friends."
