  • Costello penned this tune with National Ransom producer T Bone Burnett and American singer-songwriter Leon Russell. The latter also supplies the gospel boogie piano.
  • The song came about when Burnett and Russell were recording The Union album, together with Elton John. Costello went down to the studio to visit and T Bone introduced him to the American singer-songwriter. As Elton had to leave early that evening, T-Bone suggested the threesome write a song.
