Songfacts®:

  • This song was inspired by a "girly chat" that Emeli Sandé was having with her stylist in a hotel room, whilst on tour in Scotland. The Heaven singer recalled to Q magazine: "She said that when she got back home with one of her boyfriends she said It really felt like that's where I sleep, and I just loved that phrase. Like it doesn't matter where you are in the world, you always know that's where your home is."
