Yet everyone does have moments, when we can realize that there is hope, that we can reclaim one's place in life, that we still have a purpose. Sometimes we need just one person to help, to guide us. The old man reached out to save the young man's life. All of us should reach out to others, We all have a purpose, and we can help each other in seeking to fulfill that purpose. • Anonymous from Inverness, FlThe song originated when songwriter Annie Tate and her husband, Sam, were working with their friend and songwriting partner Dave Berg to construct a song about people having their moments. We all have them - the birth of a child, winning some championship - times when we feel like we were second to none; on top of the world, so to speak. But they decided someone just singing about such might come across as egotistical - so they came up with the idea of centering it around a homeless person, whose moments of the past were becoming distant memories; with only a handful of pictures to remind him of such. • Lorraine from Grande Prairie, AbI'm doing a project on hope through music. I chosse this song because I think it reminds us to never lose hope when we want to jump off a bridge. But also hope for the beggar who even though his in a difficult situation can and did do amasing things.

• Landon from Winchester, OhBut I forgot to mention something. The bass drummer, Patrick Bourque, died late in 2007 while the rest of the band was on tour. Lead singer Brad Mates ruled the death as a suicide. If they really came up with a song like Moments, a homeless man saving a young man from jumping off of a bridge, isn't it more than just a little ironic that one of the band members would end it that way?
• Landon from Winchester, OhAt first, the song sounded a little strange to me. But one day I listened to the words and found a powerful message. A homeless man stopped a young man from jumping off a bridge. That says that we all have our moments, even when things look so bleak.
