  • On "Fall," Eminem criticizes a number of current rappers he considers wack, saying they "get they style from Migos, then they copy Drake." However, it's Joe Budden who really incurs Slim Shady's wrath.

Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it
Or have his body baggage zipped

The Slaughterhouse signee skewered the Detroit rapper's previous album Revival during an episode of Everyday Struggle, branding it "one of the worst records [he'd] ever heard." Despite all this, at the time of Kamikaze's release, Budden was still signed to Shady Records.
  • The track features some falsetto vocals from Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. Though this is his first collaboration with Eminem he has worked with other rappers before, most notably on Kanye West's "Monster."
  • Tyler, the Creator provokes the most controversial rhyme on Kamikaze, when Eminem uses on this song a homophobic slur in relation to the Odd Future rapper. The diss comes as a result of Tyler criticizing Revival's lead single "Walk On Water," tweeting: "Dear god this is horrible sheesh."

Tyler has hinted at his sexual orientation on several occasions with drawings, tweets, and lyrics. The homophobic diss is nothing new for Eminem – whose back catalogue is littered with slurs and insults.

Speaking to UK newspaper The Guardian October 5, 2019, Tyler shrugged off the diss.

"I knew what the intent was. He felt pressured because people got offended for me. Don't get offended for me. We were playing Grand Theft Auto when we heard that. We rewound it and were like: 'Oh, [shrug].' And then kept playing."
  • Vernon cut his vocals separately with producer Mike Will Made It and wasn't in the studio when Eminem recorded his rhymes. It seems he was disappointed when he heard what the Detroit MC had come up with. "Not a fan of the message" the Bon Iver frontman tweeted in response to a fan's comment. "It's tired. Asked them to change the track, [but they] wouldn't do it."

Another tweet followed, in which Vernon said he was "gonna kill this track." This seems to have prompted some action as the homophobic "fa--ot" slur Eminem used against Tyler the Creator on the original track was edited out on streaming services and also from the song's video.
  • The video is structured like a short-form horror movie. It begins with Eminem riding in a car with Royce Da 5'9" reading negative headlines on his phone about his Revival album. A ghostly image emerges from his iPad and haunts the rapper, following him around and ultimately possessing him. The clips ends with him crushing a Revival CD case with his foot.
  • Eminem admitted in an interview with Sway Calloway that he went too far when insulting Tyler the Creator. "I was angry when I said that s--t about Tyler," he said. "I think the word that I called him on that song was one of the things where I felt like this might be too far. Because in my quest to hurt him, I realize that I was hurting a lot of other people by saying it."
