Songfacts®:

  • Street Fighting Man frontman Eric Turner's first solo single finds him reuniting with Tinie Tempah and Lupe Fiasco. Turner previously provided vocals for the two rappers on "Written In The Stars" (Tempah) and "Break The Chain" (Fiasco). The tune was helmed by "Written In The Stars" producer Eshraque "iSHi" Mughal.
  • The song serves as a cautionary meditation on people's fascination with stardom. "iSHi and I wanted to do something with the 'Written In The Stars' sound, but a little bit darker," said Turner. "I've been working a lot of with Tinie and with Lupe, and iSHi and I decided we wanted to do a song with both Tine and Lupe on it. It would be one of the first songs where you got one of the biggest rappers in America together with the biggest rapper in England. We thought that would be an interesting thing."
