Songfacts®:

  • English R&B singer-songwriter Estelle's third album All Of Me has a loose concept of conversations among friends about various life matters. She closes the record with this light-hearted, funky, independence-asserting number, which features interplay from Atlanta soul-oriented eccentric Janelle Monáe, plus organ, horns, and handclaps. "My flow, it ain't your flow / But trust me, I know just how I'm flowing," the pair harmonize. If you are not familiar with Janelle Monáe, her 2010 single, was voted Track of the Year in 2010 by UK music magazine Mojo. She also supplies vocals to Fun's hit single, "We Are Young."
