  • The single was first released in 2002 with a cover designed by Damien Hirst. It was re-released in 2014 to tie in with England's participation in the Brazil World Cup.
  • Lily Allen was 17-years-old when this was recorded in 2002. It was the first time that she sung on a single, three years before she would strike out on her own.

  • So who did invent fish and chips? Street traders started selling pieces of fried fish and cooked "shaved" potatoes in newspapers on the streets and alleys of London in the 1850s. The first fish and chip shop was opened in 1860 by Joseph Malin in Cleveland Street, Bow, East London.
