• This was written by Firefall singer-guitarist Rick Roberts, who along with Larry Burnett was the main songwriter in the band.
  
  Firefall came together in Boulder, Colorado, where they started off backing Chris Hillman (of The Byrds), who had moved to the area. They started off as a rock band, but veered toward soft rock when they landed their first hit: "You Are the Woman," taken from their first album in 1976. That song was written by Rick Roberts, who followed it up with the similar sounding "Just Remember I Love You," which was the big hit from their second album, Luna Sea.
  
  "Once we started to have some hit records and he was making a lot of money from publishing, Rick wrote a lot of his songs as a formula, and he kept thinking about getting radio play," Firefall guitarist Jock Bartley said on the Songfacts Podcast. "He was writing formula kind of songs, and Larry Burnett wrote songs as the purging of his soul. So we had Ricky's upbeat stuff and Larry's darker stuff and hard rock and roll."

• Barry from Sauquoit, NyOn August 7th 1977, "Just Remember I Love You" by Firefall entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #84; and on November 13th, 1977 it peaked at #11 {for 1 week} and spent 20 weeks on the Top 100...And on October 23rd, 1977 it reached #1 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Tracks chart...It was kept out of the Top 10 by Carly Simon's "Nobody Does It Better", which was at #10 during Firefall's one week at #11, but on the Adult chart it was "Just Remember I Love You" that knocked Ms. Simon out of the #1 spot.
• Sherri Gaffney from Palm City, FlI was so blessed to have writer Rick Roberts sing this Song during Our Wedding Ceremony on Oct. 29, 2011. This has been my favorite Song since it was first released.
  I Married Bob Gaffney who was in "Firefall" in the 80s. Our Best Friend "Chuck Kirkpatrick" who was also in the Band "Firefall" in the 80s Walked me down
  the Aisle. It was a Magical Day for me at "Castle Otttis" in St. Augustine, Florida . Rick Roberts is a such an awesome person :) At the Reception, My Husband Bob, Chuck and Rick Roberts all performed all of Rick's Hits with "Firefall" during Our Reception. • Mike from Norwalk, CtI was 11 yrs old when this song was a hit. Through the years when I would hear it, I would be comforted greatly by the words. When I was 18, I accepted Jesus as my Savior and then realized it was Him who used the song to comfort me. The "I" in the song is God in my opinion.
