  • Five Finger frontman Ivan Moody explained the meaning behind this song: "After getting off the road from two years of touring I was physically and emotionally drained. It felt like I'd seen almost every inch of the globe and shook every hand there was to shake. I completely lost track of time, the flights, the travel, the shows all seemed to blur together. My family and friends became a distant memory."

"Even though I was doing what I'd dreamed of doing, it took all the energy that I had," Moody continued, "it was exhausting. That made me realize, everything worth fighting for you will actually HAVE TO fight for. Every wish, every dream, every idea comes to existence only through blood, sweat and sacrifice ... we are all battle born."
  • FFDP unleashed a game-play video for the song. The action-packed clip was created by YouTube director Jackfrags and based on the popular Battlefield 4 video game.
  • The song started during a backstage jam involving guitarist Jason Hook and drummer Jeremy Spencer while FFDP was touring to support American Capitalist. "That was one that happened in the dressing room, actually. Jason and I were messing around with some weird time signatures," Spencer recalled to Billboard magazine, "it wasn't really that weird, it was like a 6/8 time kind of feel. He started coming up with that guitar arrangement and it was really cool, and then we put it away and then got home and started going through and editing stuff together, and it was like, 'Wow, this piece was interesting.' Then we smoothed out all the music stuff and then gave it to Ivan (Moody), and of course he wrote the lyrics."

"It's kind of just like our little connection to the fans about being out here on tour all the time," Spencer added. "I think it's a pretty strong chorus. We've been performing it live on tour and it's been well received so far."
