  • From 2007 to 2009, Flight of the Conchords starred in a TV series of the same name that aired on HBO. The band's songs were incorporated into each episode; the first season of the show received an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy.
  • In 2008, the duo performed at Sub Pop's 20th anniversary festival which celebrated the infamous Seattle label that brought acts like Soundgarden, Mudhoney, and Nirvana into the mainstream.
  • Flight of the Conchords appeared on The Simpsons in 2010. The duo starred as a pair of camp counselors in an episode called "Elementary School Musical," which also featured several actors from the hit TV show Glee.
  • Bret McKenzie wrote songs for the 2011 movie The Muppets.
  • Flight of the Conchords appeared in a horror movie in 2009. The flick was called Diagnosis: Death and was directed by fellow New Zealander Jason Stutter.
  • Several notable actors have appeared on Flight of the Conchords' TV show, including Judah Friedlander from 30 Rock and Kevin Allison from MTV's The State. Musicians who have appeared on the show include Kate Pierson from The B-52's, Randy Jones from The Village People, and Art Garfunkel from Simon & Garfunkel.
  • In 2008, they won a Grammy award for Best Comedy Album for their debut EP The Distant Future. The live songs on the EP were recorded at Comix Comedy Club in New York City.
