Songfacts®:

  • This short track is an instrumental preview of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 2. It is a layer of sound frontman Yannis Philippakis extracted from the track "Into The Surf" for a teaser video. The Foals fell in love with the music and decided it felt right being placed on the album right after "Cafe d'Athens."

"We liked the idea of having this moment that's a forbearer of what's going to happen on album two," Philippakis explained to Apple Music. "When we were sequencing I remember feeling like there was something missing on album one in terms of its arc. We put this in there, and it's hard to express, but it just did something good for the album as a whole. It was the one missing ingredient."
