Songfacts®:

  • Dave Grohl: "Sometimes I'd just spit out lyrics onto paper and other times I'd overanalyze and lose the plot. I didn't realize that there was a sort of a line running through everything, but now, with the album sequenced, it kind of makes sense. It begins with 'All My Life' and ends with 'Come Back' and throughout the album, it is basically just like the difficult beginnings of falling in love, and then the relief of feeling comfortable in love. I'm a sappy romantic, so - it's tough, man, I swear, but I'm not ashamed." >>>

  • Mondie from LondonOne by One is a totally amazing album - probably their best (I know that's controversial, but that's my view and I'm sticking to it!)
I've read reviews where the album is talked down and derided, but I can't see what those people are listening to. Sadly, I've seen it quoted that Dave himself only rates the first four songs! How can that be when track after track is 7 or above, and All My Life. Low, Times Like These, Tired of You, Burn Away, and Come Back are 9 or above. That's too many 9s for an average album to cope with and it has to admit it's a classic. Come Back is intense and immense.
  • Matt from Coralville, Iai love this song and im going to make a movie based on this movie. it shall be an epic tribute to the love we must know... the love for perfect ballads, the love for the foo fighters.
