Songfacts®:

  • Rihanna joins Future on this slow, melancholic cut in which they portray two lonely people in love with each other. In the past their relationship has involved, "lies, wrong turns and wrong words," but now they want to be together again just for their selfish pleasures.

    Oh, let's not be alone
    Let's not be alone
    Let's be one
    Oh, let's not be alone
    Empty thoughts fill the room
Breathe for me and I'll breathe for you
  • Rihanna previously collaborated with Future on her 2012 Unapologetic track "Loveeeeeee Song." The Atlanta rapper also wrote the Mike WiLL Made-It single "Nothing Is Promised" on which the Bajan songstress supplied the vocals.
  • This was released as the lead single from Hndrxx. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, replacing Future's own self-titled LP from the previous week at the top of the chart. This made the rapper the first artist in the history of the Billboard 200 to achieve back-to-back #1 debuts in successive weeks.
