Songfacts®:

  • Humanz is packed with guest singers - there's just one song, this despondent track, which finds Damon Albarn as the lead vocalist. "That is my moment and I love my moment," he told The Sun. "It's very special to me."
  • Here, Albarn is singing about failing to come to terms with the domination that computer technology has in today's world. Asked about his lyrical content on Humanz, Albarn admitted to The Observer he's not always sure what he's singing about:

"I get my chords and then I improvise the words in one take," he said. "It's a subconscious thing, so I think of my language as somehow connected to the future or the past. Untethered to now. And with this record, I mostly left the words as they came out."
