  • In 2010, Gotye set up a recording studio in a barn at his at his parent's ranch in Australia and set about recording tracks for Making Mirrors. However, writing the songs was a huge struggle for him, and he almost gave up the production on a number of occasions. The indecision and depression that be battled while making the album, became the subject matter of several tracks including this funk-driven number. Gotye stated to Rolling Stone Australia: "There were points that I thought I wouldn't be able to finish a record I was really into or that I'd give up at some stage."
